Program:

 

Day 1: Welcome to Muscat! After arriving in Muscat you are will be transferred to your selected Hotel for check in. Your holiday has started so it is time to relax so take the rest of the day to gather your thoughts and get ready for what will be an experience never to be forgotten. O/N Shangri Al Waha

Day 2: Start your day with a delicious breakfast before leaving on a tour of Muscat City. The tour begins by visiting the Grande Mosque which stands exquisitely against the skyline. Once you have taken in the brilliance of the Grande Mosque it is time to head to Muttrah where we first visit the Bait Al Zubair Museum and a photo stop by Qasr Al Alam (His Majesty's Palace) before heading to the vibrant fish market and lively Muttrah Souk. Bargain with the locals and see what treasures you can find lying around in the twisting and winding walkways. Your morning fulfilled you are dropped off safely at your hotel to enjoy the rest of the day lazing around the pool. (Grand Mosque is closed for tourist visit on Thursday, Friday & any local holiday) (B). O/N Shangri Al Waha

Day 3: Full day at leisure to enjoy the resort or book a spa or go on a dolphin watch tour. (B) O/N Shangri Al Waha 

Day 4: Breakfast and at the Hotel and we drive to Nizwa, one of the oldest cities in Oman and was the previous capital city of Oman. Home to some beautiful buildings, a fabulous silver souk, vegetable and fish market, Nizwa should definitely be on your wish list. Included in this day tour is a visit to Jabrin Fort which has been called the most beautiful fort in all of Oman. This fort was still in operation up until the last century before being renovated allowing tourists to experience the wonders it holds. Jabrin completed we treat you to a genuine Omani lunch before being whisked again to the Wahiba Sands desert for some adventure sun dune drive before you head to your tourist desert camp for check in and dinner. Enjoy this unforgettable night under the stars in the desert. Feel what it is like to be completely free as you stare up at the radiance of the shiny sky and are warmed by the site of a fire crackling beside you as you slip into your imagination and tell stories of your discoveries. O/N Desert Nights Camp (B, D)

Day 5: Today you would embark on a thrilling drive to Muscat from Sur. With stunning views of the waters of the Arabian Sea on one side and the rocky cliffs on the other, this is an exciting drive along the coast road, though the road has recently been made tarmac.  Drive to Qalhat, one of the oldest towns and seaports in Oman.  However, only the remnants of the city walls remain here today.  Visit ruins of the tomb of the holy lady, Bibi Miriam, which stands high up on the cliff top (at present photo stop only). Not far away is another picturesque wadi- Wadi Tiwi, A walk through the narrow roads leads you to lush plantations and pools with clear water. The last stop will be at Bimah Sinkhole, a spectacular limestone crater with blue green water at the bottom. Continue your drive and stop at the white sandy Fins Beach for photos. Wadi Shab is a wadi between cliffs and normally has water.

Day 6: Departure transfer. Pick form hotel at 2 hours prior to flight time and connect to onward journey.
