Day 1: Welcome to Muscat! You will proceed to the immigration counters and there our airport representative will be waiting for you to assist you in completing the visa process. You will then be escorted to meet with you tour guide at land side who will transferred you to your selected hotel for check in. Your holiday has started so it is time to relax so take the rest of the day to gather your thoughts and get ready for what will be an experience never to be forgotten. O/N Shangri – la (Al Waha)
Day 2: Start your day with a delicious breakfast before leaving on a tour of Muscat City. The tour begins by visit to Muttrah where we first visit the Bait Al Zubair Museum and a photo stop by Qasr Al Alam (His Majesty's Palace) before heading to the vibrant fish market and lively Muttrah Souk. Bargain with the locals and see what treasures you can find lying around in the twisting and winding walkways. Your morning fulfilled with an Omani Lunch. Drop back to hotel. Day 3: After breakfast we head to Nizwa, the heritage capital of Oman that is famous for its Round Tower Fort, built in the 17th century, and the souq with its Friday cattle auction, ornamental silver jewelry and intricately hand-carved ‘khanjars’ (daggers). Finally we head for Jebel Akhdhar, the highest peak in the Arabia. Here we enjoy the spectacular views over Oman’s 2000m-deep equivalent to the Grand Canyon. O/N Alila Resort & Spa (B, D)
Day 4: Breakfast and explore the Grand Canyon, soft hike in the canyon (02 to 03 hours) (Destination Experience 05 to 06 hours hike), your tour guide will accompany you for hiking tour you just need to carry your comfortable walking and trekking shoes. O/N Alila Resort & Spa (B, D)
Day 5: Breakfast and we commence our journey back to Muscat, there on we move to visit Jabrin, built in the late 17th century and the finest of Oman’s castles, became a seat of Omani learning. The castle displays the highest achievement in Omani ceiling painting and has beautifully executed woodcarvings. On the way to Jabrin we will stop at the historic town of Bahla, encircled by a winding wall and is famous for pottery as well as a large fort which is included on UNESCO’s world heritage list. We reach Muscat around late evening. Drop off to airport for your journey back home. (B)
